As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of television, I must say that the upcoming season premieres are truly a spectacle to behold! From the returning favorites like Mythic Quest and SNL, to the highly anticipated newcomers such as The Escaped Prisoners and the Suits spin-off, it seems that there’s something for everyone.
Storm Reid has graduated from the set of Euphoria.
21-year-old actress, known for her role as Gia Bennett, younger sister to Zendaya’s character Rue Bennett in the HBO series, has disclosed that she will not be attending East Highland High School during the show’s upcoming third season.
Storm shared with Rotten Tomatoes during an interview on November 20th: “I’m absolutely thrilled for season three! Sadly, Gia won’t be part of the third season. However, I owe a great debt of gratitude to the cast and crew of that show, as well as HBO.
Even though Storm won’t be appearing again in the TV drama featuring Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney, she remains an ardent admirer of the show and her role within it.
She went on saying, “Euphoria is truly unique,” she added. “I’m thrilled that it’s a part of my history and that I was involved in such a significant cultural movement. I remain eternally grateful and indebted. I can hardly wait to see what season three brings. I’m incredibly excited.
Storm’s disclosure that she won’t be reprising her role is consistent with her earlier statements about the doubt surrounding the start of the series’ third season, a production that is scheduled for January.
She shared with TopMob News in April that things are currently on hold, but she’s eager for a return. If fate allows, we’ll be back quickly to deliver what our audience craves and deserves. Here’s hoping we make a comeback soon.
The latest tidbit about Storm leaving the show is another piece of the puzzle regarding the enigmatic third season of Euphoria. However, this news aligns with other details that have been revealed earlier, such as a time leap beyond high school, which was previously hinted at by Zendaya, one of the series’ cast members.
In an interview with The Awardist back in October, Zendaya admitted she wasn’t fully aware of the specific details about what’s going on. She mentioned that she doesn’t exactly know how the season will unfold, but she does understand that a time jump is taking place and it’s significant because there’s only so much high school drama one can handle.
She went on, expressing eagerness to explore these characters beyond their high school years. It would be intriguing to observe how their experiences during adolescence shape their adulthood and identity within a broader context. I look forward to following their future journey as well.
Eagerly counting down the days till the next chapter of “Euphoria” unfolds, here’s a sneak peek at what else TV screens might illuminate in 2025!
