On Saturday, 17th May, starting at 8pm, the Grand Final is set to be Europe’s largest party of the year. It will air live on BBC One and iPlayer.

Every year, the Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals and finals remain highly sought-after television events on the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). In fact, last year’s finale attracted an average viewership of approximately 7.9 million people within the United Kingdom.

This year’s competition is being held in Switzerland, following Nemo’s win in 2024.

This year, the United Kingdom is being represented by Remember Monday, a close-knit country band consisting of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steele. They’ve been inseparable friends ever since they first met in high school back in 2013.

The upbeat tune, titled “What the Heck Transpired?”, is their anticipated anthem that they believe could propel them to the peak of the charts, as it narrates the consequences of a lively evening spent with companions.

“It perfectly showcases the band’s humour, relatability and their signature harmonies.”

At the performance of their Eurovision track, the band shared their thoughts on participating: “We’ve made it a point to focus on the here and now.

Every person we’ve talked to, whether they’ve participated in Eurovision before or are part of our team, has advised us to simply tackle each day as it arrives. It’s comforting because Eurovision no longer feels like it’s just on the 17th of May.

Everything leading up to this point, each and every experience, holds immense significance. It feels incredibly unreal and marvelous. We’re simply thrilled to be involved in all of it.

The semi-finals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be held on Tuesdays, 13th and 15th of May. You can catch them both on BBC One and iPlayer, starting at 8 pm each night.
