As a seasoned connoisseur of visual novels and someone who has navigated through the labyrinthine narratives of countless titles, I must say that the Infinity series, particularly Ever 17: The Out of Infinity and Never 7: The End of Infinity, have left an indelible mark on my gaming experience.

Ever 17: The Out of Infinity
About
The game titled ‘Ever 17: The Out of Infinity’ is the second installment in the ‘Infinity’ series, initially launched by KID in 2002. Later in 2011, MAGES. introduced a revamped version for Xbox 360, boasting fully 3D characters, fresh storylines, and enhanced graphics. The updated version maintains the 2D character emotions from the original game, while redesigning the outfits and opening movie in 2D format. Furthermore, the new storyline elements introduced in the revamped version have been included, making this the ultimate version of ‘Ever17’.
In this game, you’re immersed in a thrilling visual novel set within an underwater theme park named “LeMU.” The narrative unfolds as you assume the roles of two main characters: Takeshi Kuranari, a college student, or an amnesiac boy. As the storyline develops, you’ll experience events from each character’s unique viewpoint, starting with the choice you make at the game’s outset regarding who to control first.
The game provides a rich, intricate perspective on its narrative by letting players select from two main characters. This dual-protagonist approach invites a deeper exploration of the story and fosters greater immersion. Unraveling the “hidden truth” that these contrasting viewpoints unveil is part of the thrilling journey as you delve into the game’s engrossing tale.
Story
Spring 2017: Takeshi Kuranari, an average college student, ventures to the underwater theme park “LeMU.” An unfortunate incident leaves him stranded within its depths. Sora, the last operational system, warns of imminent collapse due to water pressure in just over 170 hours and 17 minutes. With rescue appearing unlikely, Takeshi teams up with a mysterious girl named Tsugumi, park guide Yuu, and they explore LeMU in quest of an exit to the surface. Beneath the surface lies a theme park of aspirations and fantasies, shrouded in the mystery of the deep blue sea. Could any of these dreams still be alive? Or is there another secret waiting to be discovered? The solution rests with “you.
Never 7: The End of Infinity (2025)
About
Title “Never 7: The End of Infinity” is an enhanced high-definition version of the original game released in 2000, offering a complete edition of the initial “Infinity” title.
