As Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Games Showcase draws near within just two weeks, there’s a growing buzz about the possible games that might be unveiled. Beyond the fresh installment of Call of Duty, Gears of War: Reloaded, and The Outer Worlds 2, which will have its own dedicated presentation, here are some other titles we might see.
Possible titles mentioned include Rare’s Everwild. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer stated that it’s advancing, while Jez Corden of Windows Central pointed out that it appears to be following its planned schedule according to recent inquiries. Microsoft’s developers also seem to have high confidence in the game, suggesting a potential showing at the upcoming event.
Next up is “State of Decay 3”, which unveiled an in-engine trailer last year without any gameplay footage. Rumors suggest that it might release as early as 2026 (corroborating previous speculation), with a possible deeper look coming up soon. We’ll have to wait and see for further updates, so keep an eye out for more information.
On June 8th at 10 AM Pacific Daylight Time, the Xbox Games Showcase will be broadcasted. Following this, a special presentation for The Outer Worlds 2, titled “The Outer Worlds 2 Direct,” is scheduled. Obsidian Entertainment has already shared quite a bit of new information about the sequel, which could potentially mean an announcement regarding its release date.
