Everwild Development is Finally “Going Well” – Rumour

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of both anticipation and apprehension when it comes to the long-awaited title, Everwild. Having witnessed countless promising games fall prey to development hell, I’ve learned to approach such announcements with a pinch of salt. Yet, the recent news that Everwild’s development seems to be on the upswing has me hopeful, if not entirely convinced.

Among various first-party Xbox games that have been in development for years and officially announced, none has stirred up a blend of intrigue and doubt quite like Everwild. Initially unveiled in 2019, the game has faced a challenging development process, with even its developer, Rare, grappling for a prolonged period to understand the game’s direction. However, it appears that the project may have now found its stride.

According to journalist Jez Corden, who recently discussed on the Xbox Two podcast, the development of Everwild is reportedly progressing positively. As per Corden’s statements, Rare has successfully established the core gameplay mechanics that will form the basis of the game, and we can expect further updates about it in the coming days.

It’s still unclear whether the announcement or reveal about the project is imminent, but Xbox enthusiasts can rest easy knowing that the project’s current state is stronger than it has been in years. In fact, just a short while ago, this positive outcome seemed highly unlikely.

Last year, a report suggested that while Everwild was initially conceived as a survival-style game, it appears to be shaping up to resemble the delightful Viva Piñata instead. Dive deeper into this fascinating transformation by clicking here. (As a fan, I can’t wait to see how this turns out!)
