heads up: significant revelations about the season finale of MobLand on Paramount+ could spoil your viewing experience
The climactic episode of the initial season of MobLand aired with fittingly high levels of violence, as numerous crucial characters suffered gruesome fates. Throughout the entire series, the first season in particular, was characterized by violent incidents (even from the very first scene). However, the final episode of MobLand witnessed an alarming escalation in the number of casualties, as the feud between the Harrigans and the Stevensons reached its climax with a series of explosive events. The resolution of this conflict was hastened by Harry Da Souza’s usual foresight, which also helped most of the Harrigan family escape relatively unharmed.
It’s important to point out that, much like in typical gangster series, many of the characters who met their end in the finale suffered that fate due to their own plans backfiring. The tension between loyalty and betrayal was a recurring theme in the first season of MobLand, and those who betrayed others were often discovered and eliminated. If a second season is made, it’s likely that this contrast between deceit and trust will remain a significant aspect of the story, and those who act dishonestly may find themselves buried.
Alice/Nicola
The Undercover Informant Knew Too Much
In episode 9 of “MobLand”, Alice (played by Emily Barber), an undercover informant for DS Fisk and DC Mukasa, found herself deep within the heart of danger when she accepted Conrad’s dinner invitation. This invite seemed designed to gauge her true intentions. By doing so, Alice managed to obtain DNA for Toby Jones’ Colin Tattersall to use on a crime scene, effectively framing the Harrigans. However, this act made Alice a potential liability for Tattersall, and it seemed as if he had one of his men knock Alice unconscious with what appeared to be chloroform or a similar substance.

It’s worth mentioning that we only witness Alice, who appears drugged and abducted by Tattersall’s associate, without any clear signs of her being dead. This leaves room for her potential return in a later season. It seems plausible that the director might have made this creative decision to differentiate Tattersall’s actions from the brutal violence displayed by the gangsters, and it’s possible that the informant was instead killed off-camera.
All Of Richie’s Men
Harry Wiped Them All Out Simultaneously
Harry cleverly manipulated O’Hara to orchestrate not only Richie’s downfall but also that of his entire team. He instructed O’Hara to tell Richie to dispatch his troops to the Harrigan safe house, implying there were vulnerable Harrigans inside, and to O’Hara’s office where Richie thought an ambush was planned. Meanwhile, Paul installed a bomb in O’Hara’s office intended to eliminate Stevenson soldiers at the click of a button, while Zosia and Kiko placed a grenade at the safe house to achieve the same outcome. Lastly, Harry and Kevin moved straight to Richie’s bar to eliminate the remaining troops guarding Richie.
Kiko
Harry’s Loyal Associate Wasn’t Careful In The Carnage
In the wake of the safe house explosion, Harry’s weapons expert, who was usually meticulous, made an unfortunate mistake. As they entered the room to eliminate any remaining survivors, he and Zosia were successful, except for one. The final soldier that Kiko examined had a concealed pistol beneath his body. When Kiko flipped him over to verify if he was still alive, the soldier fired a fatal shot straight into Kiko’s chest. He bled out swiftly without uttering any final words, leaving Zosia to grieve for her fallen comrade.
Richie Stevenson
The South London Crime Boss Was Outsmarted In The End
In the season finale of MobLand, Richie, who had maintained his composure following the murders of his son and wife, ultimately succumbed to his thirst for revenge. Richie trusted O’Hara after a year of faithful service, thinking he had outsmarted Harry in setting a trap rather than the other way around. Regrettably, O’Hara deceived him, leaving his troops exposed throughout London and leaving himself vulnerable. It was straightforward for Kevin and Harry to attack his fortress and take Richie down with gunfire.
O’Hara Delaney
The Lawyer-Turned-Rat Was Used But Not Forgiven
After discovering her deceit, Harry manipulated O’Hara to ensure that Richie and his men would suffer their final downfall. By employing a clever tactic of psychological reversal, Harry exploited her allegiance to Richie for one last, grand betrayal. O’Hara stayed with Richie while his men were annihilated, and she served as a shield when Kevin and Harry stormed his office. However, in the end, Harry fired through O’Hara to reach Richie, and ended her life with a shot to the forehead, realizing that after her treachery against the Harrigans, she could no longer be relied upon.
Who Else Died In MobLand Season 1
Apart from Richie’s crew in the final episode, numerous gangs were eliminated throughout the series MobLand. In the initial episode, two adversarial gangs were brutally eliminated in a basement at Conrad’s command, while Harry systematically destroyed an entire Moroccan gang cell within a drug warehouse during his pursuit of Seraphina and Brendan Harrigan in Antwerp. Numerous significant characters met gruesome, frequently unforeseen deaths throughout the first season, with victims from both the Harrigan/Stevenson conflict and the law enforcement officers who pursued them, such as:
- Archie Hammond
- Tommy Stevenson
- Valjon
- Vron Stevenson
- Brendan Harrigan
- DS Ivan Fisk
- DC Yvonne Mukasa
- Freddie Shaw
- Alan Rusby
