Every Five Nights at Freddy’s Game in the Works (And Rumored)

The Five Nights at Freddy’s video game series is one of the most widely played series in gaming today. Starting with its initial horror installment released in 2014, it has since seen numerous main sequels, spin-offs, and a movie adaptation. As of now, there are a total of 10 games within the main series and 6 spin-offs, with more set to come out this year. In addition to those planned releases, even more games are in development.

What does the future hold for Five Nights at Freddy’s enthusiasts in terms of gameplay? It looks like they’ll have a lot to look forward to, as there are currently eight games being worked on by different studios and fan developers. Some of these are new mainline entries that will continue the storyline, while others are sequels based on popular fan-made spin-offs, all backed by series creator Scott Cawthon.

Here’s a list of all current and speculated Five Nights at Freddy’s games that might be coming out soon.

This is a roundup of the existing Five Nights at Freddy’s series, along with the anticipated releases hinted at for the future.

Secret of the Mimic

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic” is the 11th main game in this long-lasting series. This game was created by Steel Wool Studios, who have previously made “Help Wanted”, “Curse of Dread Bear”, and “Security Breach”. The story revolves around the Mimic, a robot endoskeleton that played the role of the main villain in the “Tales from the Pizzaplex” series.

Step into the deserted workshop of Murray’s Costume Manor in the game “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic”. Here, you will explore a world where every hidden corner conceals a secret and every flash of light suggests an imminent danger. The Mimic, a prototype endoskeleton with the ability to mimic any costume, could transform into any character, even your worst nightmare. With only your intelligence, a limited set of tools, and a corporate briefing heavily censored, you will endeavor to recover Fazbear’s coveted prototype technology while deciphering enigmatic hints and an unrelenting shadow intent on eliminating all intruders.

Fans of Five Nights at Freddy’s will have the opportunity to experience the game titled “Secret of the Mimic” on their PlayStation 5 consoles, starting from June 13th of this year.

Five Laps at Freddy’s

Five Laps at Freddy’s is a spin-off game from the popular Five Nights at Freddy’s series, focusing on kart racing. This game was developed by Clickteam, who are renowned for their work with this series. Players can choose one of 12 beloved characters from the series and race through 16 tracks set in locations like Fazbear Hills and Midnight Motorist, all drawn from the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe.

On the Day Shift, a fairly secure environment, you’ll engage in fierce competition to reach the top spot, but be mindful of your kart’s battery life… overusing boost or sustaining too much damage could lead you to the Night Shift. There, not only will you need to focus on winning, but also evade a vengeful endoskeleton who’s actively pursuing you.

This year, “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Ultimate Racer” is slated for release on PC through Steam, though an official launch date has yet to be announced. If you’re intrigued by the kart racing concept, you can preview it by downloading the demo available on Steam immediately.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survival Crew

The multiplayer survival horror game titled “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survival Crew” was developed by Metaverse Team Frights. Unlike its counterparts, this version can be played on the widely-used online gaming platform Roblox. Players have compared its gameplay to another well-known horror game, “Dead by Daylight“.

As a new addition to Fazbear Security’s team, you’ll be working the night shift at all Fazbear Entertainment venues. While we hope everything goes smoothly (though history has shown us that it rarely does), if anything appears amiss, you can utilize the convenient power outlets scattered across our properties to cause a system overload and jolt any misbehaving animatronics into submission. Please assure us that you’ll maintain a low profile until dawn.

The release date for “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survival Crew” has yet to be announced. Previously, a beta version of the game was accessible on Roblox in 2023, offering fans an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before the developers made the game private, only two hours after its launch. Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s, later confirmed that the game was prematurely released and was still in its early stages of development. Since then, not much information has been disclosed about this project.

Two Rumored Five Nights at Freddy’s Games

According to industry expert Daniel Richtman, it’s been suggested that there are two upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s games being developed right now. Since specifics about these potential games are scarce, all we can do is guess what they might entail. These could possibly be a spin-off like ‘Five Laps at Freddy’s’, or perhaps additional content for the forthcoming ‘Secret of the Mimic’ release. For now, we can only wait and find out more about these new installments if and when they are officially announced in the future.

Fazbear Fanverse Intiative

The Fazbear Fanverse Project is a joint venture between Cawthon and well-known fan game developers, aimed at producing more fan-created spinoffs for the community. Essentially, Cawthon is providing financial support for these developers’ projects, but he won’t be directly involved in the development process. Originally, games like “Five Nights at Candy’s 4“, “The Joy of Creation: Ignited Collection“, “Popgoes Evergreen“, “One Night at Flumpty’s 3“, and a remake of the original “Five Nights at Freddy’s” were planned for this initiative. Since this announcement was made five years ago, you might be wondering where these games are now?

Indeed, only one among these has been officially launched so far, and that’s the parody spin-off titled “One Night at Flumpty’s 3“. As for the other game, it appears to be nearing release, with a tentative window of 2025. However, you can already get a taste of it through a demo available on Steam.

It appears that “Five Nights at Candy’s 4” is still under construction, and there isn’t much information available about its release date. However, developer Emil Macko disclosed in 2022 that they were working on a side project titled “FNAC FUR“, which is a spin-off of “Five Nights at Candy’s”. This game, inspired by the Candy’s Adventure minigame from “Five Nights at Candy’s 3”, is designed in a side-scrolling format.

Personally speaking, there’s a remake on my radar named “Five Nights at Freddy’s Plus”. Sadly, this exciting venture was halted in 2023 when it was withdrawn from Steam.

It appears that three fan-made spin-offs of “Five Nights at Freddy’s” are still being developed, including “Five Nights at Candy’s 4”, “FNAC FUR”, and “The Joy of Creation”.
