In addition to the update, it will kick off Capcom’s collaboration events along with accompanying cosmetics. Here’s a sneak peek at all the new elements arriving in Monster Hunter Worlds with Title Update 1:
New Monsters and Variants
Update 1 introduces three fresh creatures for players to pursue, namely Mizutsune, Arch-tempered Rey Dau, and Zoh Shia. These beasts can only be encountered in High Rank. You’ll need Hunter Rank 21 or higher to encounter Mizutsune. Arch-tempered Rey Dau will exclusively appear during Event Quests at Hunter Rank 50. Additionally, both the High Rank variant of Zoh Shia and the high-level Arch-tempered Rey Dau can be hunted at Hunter Rank 50. These new creatures come with entirely novel armor sets for hunters and Palicos, weapons, and Investigations. The Arch-tempered Rey Dau will also include the new Rey Dau Gamma armor sets.
Here’s a rundown of the new monsters and their requirements:
- Mizutsune: Available at HR 21 (April 4, 2024)
- Arch-tempered Rey Dau: Available at HR 50 (April 29, 2025 to May 20, 2025)
- Zoh Shia: Available at HR 50 (April 4, 2025)
Gathering Hub (Grand Hub)
Title Update 1 introduces the Grand Hub into Monster Hunter Wilds, a new social hub available for players at Hunter Rank 16 following conversation with Tetsuzan in Suja. In this communal area, players can gather together in a lobby and engage in additional activities such as Barrel Bowling, arm-wrestling, and more. Additionally, Capcom is incorporating long-awaited cooking and food buff animations into Monster Hunter Wilds with the introduction of the Grand Hub.
Arena Quests
I’m thrilled to share that Arena Quests are making a comeback in Monster Hunter Wilds with the title update! These optional hunts offer an exciting twist to our usual adventures. In Arena Quests, you’re not just hunting any monster, but a specific one, armed with a pre-selected set of weapons and gear. To add a layer of challenge, these quests come with time limits as well. Completing them rewards you with Pendants that can be attached to your weapons for an edge in battles, and the elusive Seikret. Can’t wait to give it a try!
Collaboration Events and Cosmetics
Title Update 1’s launch is set to include a host of fresh cosmetics, as well as collaborations with Capcom. During the title update presentation, it was confirmed that popular outfits from Monster Hunter World would return for the character known as Alma, also referred to as the Handler. Additionally, players will be able to customize Alma’s clothing and glasses in Title Update 1. There will also be unique quests designed to unlock these new cosmetic items. Further details regarding these quests will be shared closer to the update’s release date.
When Is the Title Update 1 (TU1) Releasing?
The first update for Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on April 4, 2025. This update will go live simultaneously on all platforms. Additionally, those who own the Deluxe or Premium Deluxe Editions of the game can claim and download free cosmetics that come with the Cosmetics DLC Pack starting from this update. It’s important to mention that the Cosmetics DLC Pass can also be purchased separately if you don’t already have one of these editions.
