Evil Dead NECA 2-Pack Includes Bloody Ash and Deadite Cheryl Figures

As a gamer with a deep-rooted affection for all things horror, I can hardly contain my excitement about the NECA Evil Dead 2-pack! Growing up in the ’80s, I was introduced to the iconic Ash Williams and the Evil Dead franchise through the original 1981 Sam Raimi classic. The memory of that first terrifying yet thrilling experience is etched deeply into my soul.

NECA is now accepting pre-orders for an Ultimate 2-pack inspired by the original Evil Dead horror film from 1981, directed by Sam Raimi. This set features a bloodied Ash Williams figure and his Deadite sister Cheryl, making her debut in action figure form. The 7-inch tall figures come with interchangeable heads and hands (including a pencil-holding hand for Cheryl and decaying heads for Ash). Additional accessories include a bloody chainsaw, axe, shovel, fire poker, sketch pad with clock drawing and Necronomicon parts, as well as a cross grave marker.

The pre-orders for the set are now available at Entertainment Earth, priced at $69.99 with free U.S. shipping scheduled for January. You won’t be charged until it’s shipped. While you’re there, don’t forget to explore the upcoming full-size, wearable Evil Dead Ash Williams chainsaw hand replica, set to release in October. What’s Next For The Evil Dead Franchise?

Campbell affirmed to Entertainment Weekly that they are working on an animated adaptation, similar to a series. He added that he would be more than happy to provide Ash’s voice throughout the project, as his voice has not changed significantly compared to his own aging.

Campbell hinted at the possibility of two additional films, with a suggestion that there might be even more projects in development, given the profitable reception of the idea.

The actor reminisced about there being two more exciting films ahead. He mentioned that two talented directors have two fresh screenplays ready to be filmed, and they managed to convince a studio to finance both productions because these projects continue to generate profits.

He went on to say, “What’s intriguing is that the Evil Dead films, surprisingly, the most recent one grossed $140 million. Typically, these movies don’t rake in such a large sum… Given their low production costs, they don’t necessarily need to make this much. However, now that they are generating substantial profits, it’s become challenging to turn away. We’re inclined to continue the trend since the last film was a decade ago, and Fede [?lvarez’s reboot] was in 2013. We aim to cater to the audience who still follow the series, those who are eager to witness it in its updated form!”

The original two “Evil Dead” films were set in a cabin, with the third film, “Army of Darkness,” moving back to medieval times. The 2013 remake and “Ash vs. Evil Dead” returned to rural cabins, but now, the upcoming movie, “Evil Dead Rise,” will be situated in an apartment building in a bustling city. Campbell hinted that this change of setting opens up numerous possibilities for the series’ future direction.

The actor clarified, “We’re no longer confined within the cabin, Sam Raimi doesn’t need to direct, I don’t need to play Ash. The secret is to preserve what fans enjoy – ordinary individuals suffering at the hands of a cruel entity, and these are people who lack the ability to combat it.”
