As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming release of EvilVEvil has piqued my interest like no other game in recent memory. The blend of fast-paced vampire hunting action and co-op gameplay is right up my alley, and the fact that it’s also playable solo is a huge plus.
As a fan eagerly anticipating the release of a new co-op vampire hunting game, EvilVEvil immediately catches my attention with its high-speed action and cooperative gameplay at its core. Just glancing at the game suggests that it’s going to deliver an exciting experience, and I was fortunate enough to chat with the developers about what players can expect, their post-launch plans, and other interesting details before its recent release. Here’s my interview with Toadman Interactive CEO Ola Nilsson.

“EvilVEvil, fundamentally, is designed as a cooperative game, yet it’s been carefully crafted to cater to solo players as well. Unlike other games, there are no adversaries within EvilVEvil that restrict or hinder a player, nor does it necessitate another player’s assistance. Regardless of the number of players involved, all objectives can be completed independently in this game.”
Will the game have various characters that can be played, and how unique will these characters be in terms of their skills and ongoing gameplay dynamics?
“EvilVEvil” debuts featuring three distinct characters, each with their individual skill advancement paths and exclusive arsenal of talents. Additionally, these characters come equipped with one-of-a-kind artifacts to allow for tailored gameplay adjustments.
For future content drops we are planning to add 3 new playable characters.
Is EvilVEvil primarily focusing on cooperative play; will it still offer a satisfying solo experience for players?
At the heart of EvilVEvil, you’ll find a cooperative game, yet we’ve designed it to offer an enjoyable experience for solo gamers as well. Unlike other games, there are no adversaries within EvilVEvil that restrict or require assistance from another player. Instead, all objectives can be completed with any number of players, making it a versatile gaming option for everyone.
In simpler terms, advancing through the developmental structure (tree) will grant access to relics, which can enhance a single-player setup even more. For instance, the Phoenix relic provides one immediate resuscitation opportunity (with a cooldown), eliminating the need for team assistance in being brought back to life.
“EvilVEvil” comes equipped with an offline playing option, allowing you to enjoy the game independently, even without an active internet connection in single-player mode.
Could you provide some insights on how artifacts influence the game’s advancement dynamics, and to what extent they foster variety in building strategies?
The character and weapon setup provides players with the flexibility to tailor their gameplay style. They can develop their characters to focus on gun use, special abilities, swift melee attacks, hovering, feeding, headshots, and more.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m super excited about the potential growth of the artifact system in our game world. Currently, my characters are equipped with certain artifacts that influence their abilities, but I can’t wait to see how they beef up these features with upcoming content updates!
As someone who has been playing video games since the days of the Atari 2600, I’m genuinely thrilled about the upcoming content drop for EvilVEvil. With three new playable vampires joining the roster and a fresh arena game mode utilizing the entirety of Evil’s score systems, it’s safe to say that this latest update promises an exhilarating gaming experience. I can hardly wait to sink my teeth into it!
As a die-hard fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the diverse array of weapons that EvilVEvil has in store for us. The game promises an intriguing blend of modern firepower and ancient relics. How vast this variety will be, only time will tell!
In the arsenal of EvilVEvil, there are two main categories of weapons: those based on physical force, known as kinetic weapons, which excel in combating humanoid opponents; and UV-equipped weapons, or sabers, that perform effectively against demonoid adversaries and shields.
And EvilVEvil comes with a big variety of shotguns, SMGs, assault rifles, snipers, pistols, LMGs.
In light of the cooperative aspect of the game, are there any future plans after the launch that might involve introducing new characters, missions, or other elements to the game?
Absolutely, we’ve recently announced an exciting update for “EvilVEvil” coming soon! This update will introduce three new playable vampire characters and a fresh arena game mode that takes full advantage of the Evil score systems. We can hardly contain our excitement as we look forward to players sinking their teeth into this new content! More details will be shared at a later time.
