Clair Obsur: Expedition 33 is getting more popular as time passes.
It’s often the case that a game experiences its highest number of simultaneous players when it launches, and then that number decreases over time. Occasionally, this figure may grow during the first weekend following release, but further growth is uncommon. This trend is particularly noticeable with single-player games because as players complete the campaign, they tend to stop playing.
However, with recognition from France’s president, the initial project by Sandfall Interactive is rapidly expanding in size.
Over the weekend just gone, I found myself breaking a personal best! On the 24th of April, this game I’ve been playing saw an unprecedented number of gamers all diving in together – we hit a whopping 145,063 players at once on Steam. Incredibly, that figure surpassed the initial weekend rush when it peaked around 121,422 players or so. I’ve never seen such a massive influx of fellow gamers in one place before – it was quite the sight to behold!
On PSNProfiles.com, a site that monitors PlayStation trophies for over 6.67 million users, Deathloop has surpassed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered in popularity, indicating that player interest in the game is growing on the PS5 as well.
It appears that the buzz about the game title is carrying a significant weight, with an increasing number of people labeling it as a strong candidate for the prestigious title of “Game of the Year.
