Simone Ashley‘s role in F1 ultimately didn’t make it to the finish line.
Actress from Bridgerton has a minor role in Brad Pitt’s racing movie releasing on June 27, which doesn’t include any lines. This decision was made for a valid reason as explained by the film’s director, Joseph Kosinski.
He explained to People in an article published on June 16th, addressing the criticism about Simone’s limited screen presence, “It’s common in every movie production that you end up filming more scenes than can be included in the final version.” In essence, there were a couple of plotlines that didn’t make it to the final edit.
Joseph made it clear that there’s no ill feeling between him and the 30-year-old actor, whose role in the movie, featuring stars like Damson Iris, Kerry Condon, and others, was first revealed back in July 2024.
As a devoted admirer, let me tell you, Simone is nothing short of extraordinary. Her talent, acting skills, and singing voice are simply unparalleled. To have the opportunity to collaborate with her once more would be an absolute dream come true for me.
Three months ago, Simone shared her excitement about filming in Abu Dhabi and accompanying the Grand Prix, describing it as “one of the wildest experiences I believe I’ve ever been involved in.
She shared with Who What Wear during an interview on March 12 that it was like being in a live theater performance. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the sounds of the crowd, fireworks, cars, and everything moving at such a fast pace. It was a whirlwind experience where we all felt united as a small group.
She mentioned that, although the shooting ended in December following temporary halt due to industry disputes and setbacks, she’s actually been part of it for quite some time.
She clarified, “This movie, you know, it’s been running for quite some time now.” She mentioned that she had worked on the project prior to when “Bridgerton” was released.
As to what Simone does want to do again? An action movie—a far
She expressed her enthusiasm to a representative from “Who What Wear”, saying, “I’m determined to star in an action movie, giving it my all, 100%. I aspire to undergo rigorous training and perform feats similar to those seen in movies like ‘Tomb Raider’, or something equally impressive.
However, she later noted that her involvement in project was “very small.”
She expressed her gratitude to Elle, saying, “I’m thankful for being part of that film,” she stated. “Being able to attend numerous Grand Prix events was an extraordinary experience. I don’t foresee myself participating in anything quite like that again.
