Céline Dion believes the music will go on, but only on her terms.
The singer of “I Drove All Night” publicly criticized individuals on the internet for illegally distributing her songs without permission.
We’ve discovered that unauthorized AI-created music claiming to be from Celine Dion is being shared online and through different digital platforms.
The notice further clarified that the audio files aren’t authentic or endorsed, and they don’t belong to her official music collection.
Previously, the performer of “My Heart Will Go On” hasn’t shied away from making firm statements regarding the protection of her music. Back in August, she voiced her opinions on then-presidential nominee Donald Trump playing her song during his campaign rally.
Today, it came to light that Celine Dion’s team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., found out about an unauthorized use of Celine Dion’s video, recording, performance, and likeness while singing ‘My Heart Will Go On.’ The team wants to clarify that they have not given their approval for this use, and Celine Dion does not support or endorse any similar instances.
She even quipped, “…And really, THAT song?”
Since 2023, Celine has not released any fresh original tunes except for the ones featured in the film “Love Again”. However, she did put out an accompanying album for her 2024 documentary “I Am: Céline Dion”, though those tracks were actually renditions of her most popular songs.
Despite infrequent new music releases since her announcement of stiff person syndrome in 2022, Céline Dion made a triumphant comeback to performing when she sang “Hymne à l’amour” live from the Eiffel Tower during the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
She expressed her gratitude on Instagram after performing at the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony in July, stating how thrilled she was to return to one of her beloved cities. Above all, she was overjoyed to be honoring these incredible athletes, with their tales of sacrifice and resilience, hardship, and perseverance.
I can’t contain my excitement as I exclaim, ‘Each and every one of you has been relentlessly chasing your dreams, and whether or not a medal adorns your neck, know that being here today makes it all worthwhile! You should all be bursting with pride, we’re well aware of the tireless efforts you’ve put in to become the cream of the crop. Keep pushing, keep striving, my heart swells with each and every one of your steps!’
Besides the Olympics, the Canadian singer Céline Dion has also recently given another performance.
