The third season of The Fallout TV series has already been confirmed, even before the second season is set to debut in December.
According to Variety’s report, they announced on Monday that the second season of the highly praised TV series based on Amazon MGM Studios, Bethesda Game Studios, and Kilter Films’ video game adaptation will be airing soon, and they have also confirmed that a third season is planned.
Vernon Sanders, who leads Amazon MGM Studios’ TV division, expressed great excitement as he announced that Prime Video customers worldwide can explore further into the mesmerizing and fantastical universe of ‘Fallout.’
Jonah, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have done an outstanding job in bringing the cherished ‘Fallout’ video game series to life on Prime Video. Along with our fantastic collaborators at Bethesda Games and Bethesda Softworks, we are thrilled to reveal that a third season of ‘Fallout’ is coming up, even before the highly-awaited launch of Season Two.
This announcement follows close on the heels of wrapping up the second season’s filming. Additionally, the gap between post-production and the season’s premiere is notably smaller compared to what’s typical for major television series.
For instance, the filming for the second season of the critically acclaimed show “The Last of Us” on HBO Max was completed in August 2024, yet its premiere wasn’t until April 13, 2025.
There are several variables at play, like the extent of post-production work and coordination with other programs produced by the company. Nevertheless, the contrast between them is quite pronounced.
To put it simply, I’m thrilled that Fallout won’t have such a long gap of nearly two years between seasons. Maintaining this pace would make the series even more exciting to follow.
As a bystander, I can confidently say that I was thoroughly captivated by the inaugural season of the Fallout TV series. In my assessment, it stands out as one of the most impressive video game adaptations to date. Remarkably, this season garnered an audience of more than 100 million viewers in October 2024. The ripples of its popularity extended to a surge in sales and player count across all games within the franchise.
Additionally, we are aware that Macaulay Culkin has been added to the cast for Season 2 of the Fallout TV series, however, the specifics of his character or role have yet to be clarified.
You can stream the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video, while pre-orders have begun for the 4K Blu-Ray versions.
