The comic book series “Spy x Family” is presently progressing with the Term Break storyline, which seems to be leading us somewhere significant. Chapters 109 and 110 have revealed the real identity of Donovan Desmond. After receiving Yor’s advice, Melinda visits Loid in the Berlint General Hospital for a counseling session. During this meeting, she informs Loid about Donovan’s ability to read people’s minds. Melinda suspects that he might be an alien who swapped her husband while the genuine Donovan was taken somewhere distant in space. Although aliens are yet to be proven, the series already has another telepath – Anya Forger.

Given that these powers are real in our world, it wouldn’t be unexpected if Donovan also had them. This could potentially threaten Loid’s Operation Strix, as his adversary seems to be a step ahead. Meanwhile, the show has revealed a significant twist about its final antagonist. In an unusual turn of events, Chapter 111 introduces Anya’s mother for the first time, much to the disappointment of fans who were hoping for more detail. Creator Tatsuya Endo acknowledges this and apologizes for the briefness of the chapter.

Spy x Family Creator Apologizes For Releasing a Short Chapter

Tatsuya Endo, the creator of “Spy x Family”, has announced that Episode 111 of “SPY×FAMILY” has been published, albeit a bit shorter than usual due to holiday-related proofreading schedules. Despite its brevity, he considers it as part of the main story. As an added treat, Endo also shared an endearing sketch of Anya transformed into a butterfly, reflective of the latest chapter’s content. Unlike previous chapters with around 20 pages, this one only consisted of nine. Fans can look forward to another installment on February 16th, 2025.

Readers are delighted to see more of Anya’s mother in the story, and they appreciate the shorter chapters because it means more focus on this character. As she seems melancholic, Anya embraces her tightly, and then the scene shifts to the Forger House.

Anya and Yor share a touching instant as Yor figures out Anya desires Potato Gratin without her needing to say it.
