As a lifelong fan of JRPGs, I can hardly contain my excitement for the imminent release of Fantasian Neo Dimension! With its retro-style gameplay, classic fantasy setting, and iconic team behind it, this game feels like a nostalgic dream come true. The fact that Nobuo Uematsu’s final full game soundtrack will grace our ears is the icing on the cake.
2024 has been an absolute goldmine for RPG enthusiasts like myself, especially as we approach the end of the year! While there’s still more to anticipate, one title that’s got me excited is “Fantasian Neo Dimension,” a retro-style RPG developed by Mistwalker and published by Square Enix. They’ve just released a launch trailer ahead of its upcoming release – take a peek at it below!
In a nod to fans of classic turn-based JRPGs, Fantasian Neo Dimension offers familiar elements such as turn-based combat, a traditional fantasy backdrop, and fixed isometric viewpoints. Notably led by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Final Fantasy, and boasting music composed by long-time Final Fantasy contributor Nobuo Uematsu, this game carries significant industry weight. What’s intriguing is that Uematsu himself announced earlier in the year that Fantasian Neo Dimension will be his final full-scale soundtrack project.
The game titled “Fantasian Neo Dimension” will be released by the end of this week, specifically on December 5th. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers.
