The details of the upcoming Marvel-themed season for Fortnite were revealed last night during the D23 fan convention. This was led by Josh D’Amaro, Disney’s parks and products chief, along with key figures from Marvel (Kevin Feige), Pixar (Peter Docter), Lucasfilm (Dave Filoni) and Walt Disney Animation Studios (Jennifer Lee). The event took place on Saturday, 10th August.

Marvel executive Feige disclosed that Fortnite’s Battle Royale Chapter 5 marks the end of the saga, while revealing an exhilarating trailer for its upcoming launch.

Starting on August 16th, gamers can enjoy playing as beloved Marvel characters such as Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four. These characters are set to appear in the upcoming narrative within our game. This is part of our ongoing strategy to incorporate Disney’s iconic brands and figures into our popular gaming series.

As a die-hard fan of Marvel cinematics, I can’t help but notice the intriguing crossover between my favorite superhero universe and the popular game, Fortnite. By immersing ourselves in these exciting battles as our beloved Marvel characters, we’re not just playing a game – we’re gathering precious clues and hints about the future Marvel films that will star these very characters!

Ever since Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, revealed a significant $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games back in February, fans are eagerly awaiting details about the collaborative projects that are in store.

It’s been unveiled over the weekend that starting this fall, infamous Disney villains such as Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil will make their debut in the game, marking them as the initial Disney animated characters to be included.

Not only that, but this year, The Incredibles are set to debut as characters in Fortnite, marking a Pixar first. This announcement follows the revelation at D23 that The Incredibles 3 has indeed been confirmed.

In addition to introducing thrilling character additions, it’s been disclosed that Lucasfilm plans to bring Star Wars characters such as IG-11 and Moff Gideon into Fortnite. Furthermore, exclusive items will be available for purchase, including a brand-new “Grogu dynamic Back Bling”.
