Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer Reveals First Look at Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer

Julia Garner is set to appear as the Silver Surfer in the latest trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” This summer, Marvel’s renowned family, the Fantastic Four, will make their grand entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Accompanying them are cosmic entities Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer. The upcoming film presents a fresh take on the Fantastic Four with an all-star cast led by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. These characters are the saviors of their world, but they face a potential threat from Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his herald, Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer.

The introductory trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” opens with a news anchor summarizing the heroic deeds of the Fantastic Four, who initially were four courageous astronauts who journeyed into space and emerged transformed. A band of children applaud as The Thing effortlessly lifts a car aloft. Various individuals from all backgrounds express gratitude towards the Fantastic Four, before they make their grand entrance on stage. The Fantastic Four then appear in synchronized blue-and-white outfits, each bearing the “4” emblem on the chest. These costumes resemble the space suits they donned when they acquired their extraordinary powers.

Later on, the FF assemble at the Baxter Building for an evening meal. Reed and Sue show up a bit behind schedule, and when Johnny and Ben inquire about it, they deduce correctly that Sue is expecting. Johnny cracks a joke about Reed being overwhelmed, while he and Ben boast they’ll be fantastic uncles. But their cheerful moment is cut short by the arrival of Shalla-Bal, better known as the Silver Surfer. She confronts the Fantastic Four on the street, questioning if they are guardians of their world. Upon confirming this, the Silver Surfer alerts them that their planet is slated for destruction.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters on July 25th.
