Fast X Part 2: Tyrese Gibson Reveals He Still Hasn't Seen a Script

As a dedicated fan who has witnessed the evolution of The Fast and the Furious franchise since its inception, I eagerly anticipate the release of Fast X: Part 2. With Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson‘s camaraderie as Dominic Torretto and Roman Pearce reaching new heights, it feels like we are not just watching a movie anymore, but rather a testament to their enduring friendship.

Since the release of “Fast X” last year, there’s been a lot of excitement among fans about the upcoming sequel, “Fast X: Part 2.” Originally, Louis Leterrier, the director of “Fast X,” was set to return for the eleventh installment. However, production was temporarily halted due to the WGA and SAG strikes. The latest news on the film came from franchise star Vin Diesel who hinted that some classic cars would be making a comeback. Tyrese Gibson shared earlier this year that filming might start in 2025, and he recently revealed more details during an interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.

Gibson expressed that he hasn’t looked over a script yet, but he’s had conversations with the director, regularly communicates with Vin Diesel, and feels they are doing an excellent job in sustaining the franchise. As soon as he gets the call, he plans to appear on set and strive to deliver his best work, hoping they will still find value in what he contributes.

Vin Diesel Pays Tribute To Tyrese:

The blockbuster film “The Fast and the Furious” premiered in 2001, and its sequel, titled “2 Fast 2 Furious,” was released in 2003. In the sequel, Paul Walker reprised his role as Brian O’Conner, but Vin Diesel opted not to return as Dominic Torretto. Instead, the sequel paired Walker with Tyrese Gibson’s character, Roman Pearce. Several years later, in 2011, they both returned for “Fast Five,” their first film together within the franchise. Both actors have been part of every main “Fast” movie. As a nod to their joint efforts, Diesel recently posted a tribute to his fellow actor on Instagram.

If Vin Diesel had told me in 2010, during our initial collaboration, that in 2023 we would be on the coast of Turks and Caicos, discussing upcoming tours for the release of the Finale, I must say it feels surreal. #Brotherhood #FastX
