Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is Out on April 24th, 2025

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia as SNK unveils the long-awaited sequel to one of my all-time favorite fighting games, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Having grown up playing Garou: Mark of the Wolves, I’ve been eagerly anticipating this follow-up since its announcement.

SNK has revealed that “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves,” the sequel to the beloved fighting game “Garou: Mark of the Wolves,” is set to release on April 24th, 2025. Players can expect to find it on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms including Steam and the Epic Games Store. Until then, a fresh trailer showcases some of its exciting features.

The second installment debuts featuring 17 characters, introducing innovations such as REV and reusing mechanics like S.P.G. A fresh element is the inclusion of a single-player mode, titled Episodes of South Town (possibly suggesting another locale). This resembles Street Fighter 6’s World Tour but without the 3D avatar and exploration; instead, players can choose fights on a global map with distinct rules.

Distinct attributes encompass the ability to modify a fighter’s hair, eye, skin, jacket, pants, shoes, and gloves colors, as well as customize clothing textures and their respective hues. Additionally, there’s the Jukebox feature, which allows players to enjoy tracks from past Fatal Fury games. Keep an eye out for more information about the game, including details on its Special Edition.
