Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Pre-orders Receive 3 Days Early Access, Special Edition Detailed

As a die-hard fan of the Fatal Fury series who’s been through every twist and turn since the glory days of arcade gaming, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The announcement during Gamescom Opening Night Live was akin to hearing the theme song of my childhood again.

The long-awaited fighting game by SNK, titled “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves”, has officially been given a release date after its reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live. This highly anticipated title is set to include a new story mode called “Episodes of South Town”, as well as additional features such as Color Edit and Jukebox. The developer has also confirmed that it will be released as a Special Edition, priced at $59.99.

As a long-time fan of this particular video game franchise, I am thrilled about the upcoming release of the new edition that includes the base game with 17 playable characters and Season Pass 1. Having followed the development process closely, I can’t wait to get my hands on the additional five characters as DLC, which will be released over the course of the next year and a half. The excitement is palpable knowing that two new characters will arrive in Summer 2025, followed by another three at regular intervals throughout the seasons.

Benefits for pre-ordering the game come with advantages such as a three-day early start, enabling players to begin playing on April 21st, 2025. Additionally, you’ll get a free downloadable costume inspired by Terry Bogard’s iconic outfit from Fatal Fury 2. However, if you don’t pre-order by April 23rd, SNK might offer this costume as a separate paid DLC later on.
