As a longtime devotee of the fighting game genre, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves! The announcement of Kim Dong Hwan’s return to the series has me reminiscing about my early days playing Garou: Mark of the Wolves on my trusty Dreamcast.
In the lineup for “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves” is a character that long-time fans will recognize – Kim Dong Hwan, who was initially introduced in “Garou: Mark of the Wolves.” This fighter makes a return in the series’ upcoming revival. For a glimpse of his fierce combat style, check out the trailer below.
Kim Dong Hwan is one of the many characters added to the roster for the upcoming SNK game. So far, about 15 fighters have been unveiled, including returning figures like Terry Bogard, Rock Howard, Mai Shiranui, and Hotaru Futaba, along with some others. Also included are new faces such as Preecha and Vox Reaper.
In 2025, characters Ken and Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series are set to join as downloadable content (DLC). A three-year plan for providing DLC support has been outlined.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is due out on April 24, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC.
