Fate/EXTRA Record Details Coming August 4th, New Teaser Released

As a long-time fan of Type-Moon and the Fate series, I’m thrilled to see not one but two new titles on the horizon! While the collaboration between Type-Moon and miHoYo for “Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works” in Honkai: Star Rail has me excited, the announcement of “Fate/EXTRA Record” truly brought back nostalgic feelings. I remember playing the original Fate/EXTRA on my PlayStation Portable back in 2011, and despite its mixed reception with criticisms towards writing, combat, and tedium, it left a lasting impression on me.

Type-Moon is teaming up with Honkai: Star Rail for Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works next year. Additionally, they’re developing Fate/EXTRA Record. A fresh teaser trailer was recently released, offering a sneak peek of upcoming details to be unveiled on August 4th. Take a look below.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly anticipating new updates for “Fate/EXTRA Record,” the long-awaited remake of “Fate/EXTRA” by Type-Moon Studio BB, which was first announced back in July 2020. Although the recent teaser didn’t reveal much about the gameplay or storyline, it still marks an exciting return to the world of “Fate/EXTRA.” Some familiar faces like Saber, Archer, and Caster made an appearance, but I can’t wait to uncover more details about this captivating RPG experience.

In 2010, the dungeon crawler game was released in Japan for the PlayStation Portable. Later, in 2011, it became available in North America. The response from critics was divided, with some praising its aspects while others criticized its writing, combat system, and tedious elements.

As a longtime fan of Type-Moon’s Fate series, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation and excitement as we approach August. You see, for years I’ve been following the developments of the upcoming game, Fate/EXTRA Record, with bated breath. But alas, there’s still no concrete release date or confirmed platforms announced yet.
