As a long-standing fan of this delightful series, I must say that the news of Father Brown‘s return fills me with unbridled joy and anticipation. Having grown up in the Cotswolds myself, I can’t help but feel a deep connection to the idyllic village of Kembleford and its colorful inhabitants.

Season 12 of Father Brown is coming to BBC One sooner than you make think!

On Friday, 10th January, starting from 2pm, you can catch the comeback of the much-loved drama on BBC One as well as iPlayer.

The filming for the 12th season kicked off in April of this year, and to delight the fans even more, it was announced that the show has been extended for a 13th season.

As the launch date nears, prepare for Mark Williams to reprise his role as Father Brown alongside Tom Chambers’ Chief Inspector Sullivan. Claudie Blakley will also be back in her role as Mrs Devine, while Ruby-May Martinwood continues her portrayal of Brenda and John Burton takes on Sergeant Goodfellow once more.

As a captivated movie reviewer, I’m thrilled to share my insights about an enchanting tale set in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Kembleford. The storyline unfolds thus: after the heart-pounding proposal at the end of season 11, a wave of joy sweeps across the tranquil village, as Mrs Devine and Chief Inspector Sullivan eagerly anticipate their forthcoming nuptials.

However, when an unexpected visit by the groom’s father disrupts their plans, will they manage to arrive at the church on time?

“The storyline unfolds as a medieval-style death at a Tudor reenactment implicates Mrs Devine in murder, causing doubt about Sergeant Goodfellow’s career, while Brenda dances ballroom on national television. With so much happening, Father Brown and his team are working harder than ever.

With the announcement of season 13, there’s a lot more detective work ahead for the witty priest.
