Father of Mae Whitman’s Baby Revealed

It looks like Mae Whitman is venturing into parenthood with a partner.

Six months have passed since she announced the birth of her first child, Miles, and it has now come to light that Carlos Valdes is the father of the Parenthood alum’s son.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that the remarkable Lauren Graham, who graced our screens as my character’s mother in ‘Parenthood’ from 2010 to 2015, recently disclosed some exciting news. She revealed that the talented actress, Duff, and her precious child are currently residing on the East Coast to back Carlos in his latest professional journey.

Lauren mentioned during an interview on Dax Shephard’s Armchair Expert podcast on March 10th that they are currently in New York. She added that Carlos, their baby daddy, is performing on Broadway in Hadestown, a show she’s proud to promote because Carlos Valdes gives an exceptional performance in it.

Remarking that she finds Carlos, who portrayed Mae’s romantic lead in the 2023 series “Up Here“, impressive, Lauren then clarified that their present living arrangement is merely temporary for the trio.

The Gilmore Girls alumnus explained that they have been in New York for a while, but will soon move on to a new job in Ireland. Therefore, she is currently residing in Ireland with the infant.

Additionally, Lauren shared some interesting perspectives on how Mae, aged 36, manages to balance her career as an actress with motherhood. She humorously noted, “It’s always exciting when I receive a text message from her, as it’s not always guaranteed.

“She’s a mom now,” the 57-year-old added, “and she’s working and she’s in Ireland.”

A few days ago, Carlos announced that he’d just welcomed a new baby into his life – he was careful, however, to keep private the specifics of this exciting new phase in his life.

He mentioned in an interview with People on March 3 that not many people are aware of this, but he has recently become a father. He prefers to keep his family life private and doesn’t disclose any further details about it.

Nevertheless, the actor from Flash opened up frankly on managing life as a “Broadway father.

Carlos admitted, “It takes a lot of courage, but let me put it this way: living like this isn’t for the weak-hearted. It can be quite challenging to juggle everything when you factor in parenthood.

One advantage? At age 35, he has drawn upon his freshly forged father-son relationship to bring authenticity to his portrayal of Orpheus in Hadestown. In his own words, “I’ve poured a great deal of my personal experience as a parent, and the admiration I have for my child, into Orpheus’ own innocent perspective on the world.
