In the spirit of sharing my week with the audience on ‘Today’s Fourth Hour with Jenna & Friends,’ I found myself in an unexpected moment when Jenna revealed a heartwarming surprise. She confided in me, “There’s someone who cares for you deeply and has sent this special message your way.
In the video, his daughter (the one he has with wife Gabrielle Union) made an appearance, and as it started rolling, she delivered a heartfelt message. “Hi Daddy!”, the 6-year-old girl said, expressing her deep affection, “You’re my most favorite friend I’ve ever met, and I also wanted to thank you and wish you good luck. It’s always great to see you on TV, and I adore you so much.
With a smile across his face, Dwyane, 43, said, “That’s my twin right there.”
To which Jenna responded, “I love that she just said, ‘You’re my favorite friend.'”
He elaborated on their relationship, mentioning that they are friends, yet clarified that there are times when he needs to assume the role of a father. Dwyane is quite experienced in parenting, as he has two children, Zaire (23) and Zaya (17), with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, a son Xavier (11) from a past relationship, and helped raise his nephew Dahveon.
He mentioned, “We’re pals, you understand? Sometimes, I take on the role of a father, and she gets to witness that aspect. Her eyes widen when she sees that, especially when I become firm.
