FBC: Firebreak Features Cross-Play and Matchmaking at Launch, No Cross-Progression

In their latest update, Remedy Entertainment has shared more insights about their upcoming team-based shooter, FBC: Firebreak, which is set within the universe of Control. What’s even more exciting is that cross-platform play will be available from day one, as confirmed during a recent preview event visited by MP1st. This means players on different platforms can enjoy the game together right away!

Initially, cross-progression might not be accessible right from the start, but there’s a possibility it could come later on. As community manager Julian Fondum put it, “It won’t be available at launch, but it might show up much further down the road.

Much of what we’re working on behind the scenes is constructed with future possibilities in mind, once we have additional resources and more. As such, we’re putting great effort into creating a robust foundation for our future development. However, I must clarify that at this moment, there won’t be cross-progression available.

Confirmed online pairing exists, enabling various gamers to be paired at random (let’s hope they don’t cause trouble for one another). Additionally, cross-platform play incorporates a system similar to friend codes.
