FBC: Firebreak’s Altered Augments Let You Create Coin Tornadoes and Burn Enemies With Boiling Water

This summer, the game “FBC: Firebreak” by Remedy will be released with expanded gameplay, featuring a deeper look at Crisis Kits, Jobs, Tools, and even Altered Augments. These details were shared in a recent community update on PlayStation’s blog, posted by community manager Julius Fondem.

Each Crisis Kit comes equipped with a unique Gadget, a makeshift invention, and an Augment boasting impressive powers. These items remain untested, but given the dire situation facing the Bureau, extreme situations necessitate unconventional solutions. Fondem offers, “I’m certain there won’t be any problems.

In discussion, the augment being referred to is the AI9 Garden Gnome. When combined with the Electro-Kinetic Charge Impactor and hurled towards adversaries, it generates a thunderstorm of electricity. This feature not only inflicts damage and momentarily stuns enemies, but it also depletes batteries at a steady rate.

In this scenario, the Wrench interacts with a Piggy Bank (AI16). When you combine these two items, a “ghostly coin whirlwind” occurs. After the whirlwind subsides, the Piggy Bank automatically repairs itself and prepares for another attack. The Teapot (AI44) is associated with the Crank-Operated Fluidic Ejector. By cranking it, you can increase the water’s temperature and scorch enemies, causing them to suffer from the “Burn” status. Additionally, this Teapot helps prevent the Tool from overheating.

Indeed, there’s a give-and-take situation since every choice comes with potential consequences that might harm your allies. It’s essential to note that the Teapot prevents the COFE from removing conditions from allies, except for the “Cold” condition.

At its release, the game titled “FBC: Firebreak” can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, as well as PC platforms. Furthermore, it’s going to be accessible immediately for Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscribers. Additionally, Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that all post-launch updates will be offered free of charge.
