FBI season 7: Release date and latest news

On Tuesday, October 15th, at 8 PM, CBS will air the premiere of FBI’s seventh season. After that, you can also catch the debut episodes of both FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted, with fresh installments scheduled for release every week in the same time slot.

It’s been announced that the FBI, along with its spin-offs FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, are set to air during the seasons of 2024 or 2025. At this point, a specific release date in the UK remains undetermined.

In an interview with The Direct, Jeremy Sisto shared some details regarding the upcoming filming schedule for the next season. He mentioned that the production typically begins around mid-July.

For the upcoming season, there’s a shift in leadership as Mike Weiss, who co-created and served as executive producer for Death and Other Details, is now taking on the roles of executive producer and showrunner for FBI. Given his previous experience working on Dick Wolf productions, including serving as co-executive producer for seasons 3 and 4 of Chicago PD, we’ll have to stay tuned to discover what this new season brings!

FBI season 7 cast: Who will return?

In the upcoming season of FBI, we anticipate that the primary characters will be back, yet there’s been a change regarding some cast members who might have less screen time in season 7.

As a devoted fan, I’ve learned from Deadline that next season, the regular cast members on FBI and its spin-off FBI: Most Wanted might appear two episodes less than usual. Similar cost-cutting measures have been implemented on Grey’s Anatomy as well, a show that’s been around for quite some time. Although it’s hard to predict how this change will affect the narrative of our favorite characters, we’ll just have to tune in and find out!

In season 7, it’s likely that some fresh faces might join our series. However, among those we anticipate returning from the main FBI cast are the following:

  • Missy Peregrym as Maggie Bell
  • Zeeko Zaki as Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan
  • Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine
  • John Boyd as Stuart Scola
  • Katherine Renee Kane as Tiffany Wallace
  • Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille

What will FBI season 7 be about?

FBI season 7: Release date and latest news

It’s likely that FBI Season 7 will continue following the intense Season 6 finale, though it remains uncertain if we’ll jump right into the next chapter or if there’ll be a time gap before resuming. We’ll find out as the release date approaches.

During the final episode, numerous unresolved issues were neatly wrapped up, such as the capture of terrorist mastermind Hakim Siran, and it also saw the comeback of Missy Peregym, reprising her role as Maggie.

Discussing the Season 6 finale, series actor Zeeko Zaki shared with Screen Rant: “The last episode marks a complete loop back to our very first episode, which is truly thrilling.”

“It’s refreshing to have the chance to wrap up loose ends, as we typically don’t end stories with unresolved conflicts or villains escaping. Additionally, it’s satisfying to demonstrate our team’s strength and unity by portraying the same through various character viewpoints.”

“This concluding part promises an exciting twist regarding our formidable adversary, the havoc he wreaked upon us, and especially on one of our comrades. It’s shaping up to be an incredibly satisfying moment when we finally bring him to justice.”

For Season 7, we’re excited about the plot and returning characters! Just like previous seasons, it’s likely that the show will follow its weekly mystery format, with a grand antagonist appearing towards the end for a thrilling climax. Can’t wait to see what happens!
