A heads up! The second-last episode of FBI Season 7, titled “Devoted”, is filled with surprises and can be viewed on Paramount+ if you have a subscription. Keep in mind, there are also minor spoilers for the final episode that follows.
In the series “Devoted,” the FBI delved into past events, bringing back character Duke Ducoyle and the turmoil he caused for Isobel, although she narrowly avoided the tragic fate of the two IRS agents killed in penultimate episode of the spring 2025 TV lineup. From CBS’s description of the finale and most of the previews, it appears that Jubal is in the most danger… but a hint in the latest episode has me worried about Isobel once again for the second consecutive week.
International and FBI: Most Wanted will conclude with their spring finales separately. According to CBS, the character Jubal is going to find himself in a precarious situation at the start of the episode, and the danger escalates throughout the hour. Here’s a sneak peek:
Following Jubal’s narrow escape from a meticulously planned attack on a clandestine FBI headquarters, the team unearths evidence of a renegade terrorist organization that has infiltrated the FBI. With trust at a minimum, the team finds themselves operating covertly to expose the traitors who are undermining the integrity of the New York field office.
It seems this situation could very well be the climax we’ve been waiting for! I must say, the notion of a secret FBI office intrigues me greatly – is Jubal handling a case there or merely dropping by? The finale sneak peek has him breaking through a glass door, which aligns perfectly with the “narrowly escapes” part of the episode summary. The scene involving Isobel caught my attention for an unexpected reason. I thought you might want to revisit it, just in case you missed it.
In the sneak peek, Isobel appears with a rather severe-looking wound on her face that wasn’t present at the end of “Devoted.” It seems she was absent from the clandestine FBI office where Jubal usually is, implying an impending secondary attack may have caused her injury. This unfolds shortly after the TV series FBI provided her with a compelling reason to resign!
As a film enthusiast, I found myself intrigued at the 8-second mark of the sneak peek. It depicts Jubal and a woman in an FBI coat barging through a shattered door. At first glance, it seemed like Jubal was taking Maggie down to protect her from danger, considering the woman’s dark hair tied up in a ponytail. However, upon reading the episode summary, I find myself questioning this assumption. It now appears that this character could be a double agent, brandishing a gun with an apparent intent to harm Jubal… and yes, she just so happens to have a brunette ponytail.
To fully understand what’s happening, fans should tune into CBS on Tuesday, May 20th at 8 p.m. ET for the final episode of FBI Season 7, followed by FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET respectively. In the upcoming CBS fall 2025-2026 schedule, the original series will be paired with a new show, CIA, starring former Lucifer actor Tom Ellis, on Monday nights.
