FC 25 on Nintendo Switch: What do we know about this year’s version?

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experiences under my belt, I must admit that FC 25 for Nintendo Switch has piqued my interest significantly. The promise of engaging in professional fouls and the ability to play Career Mode on-the-go are features that resonate deeply with my gaming soul.

Instead of the old Football Championship (FC) games on Nintendo’s outdated handheld devices, FC 24 turned out to be a delightful surprise. Now, all attention is focused on FC 25 for the Nintendo Switch. Here’s what we currently know about this year’s edition.

Should you be concerned about not participating in the mischief, relax as Switch users will have the opportunity to partake in skilled misconduct, making it possible for you to excel at causing trouble with your friends.

In the upcoming version (Switch 2 or simply Switch), you’ll have the opportunity to fully leverage its mechanics, along with the 25 FC Heroes joining Ultimate Team.

Playing Career Mode on your mobile device will definitely add some excitement to your daily commute; however, try to keep your cool when the opposing team scores in the last minute, as frustrating as it may be.

But this intro is running out of steam, so let’s switch things up and get to it!

I’m excited to share that the release date for FC 25 on Nintendo Switch is set for the 27th of September, 2024. If you can’t wait, there will be early access to the Ultimate Edition starting a week earlier, on the 20th of September, 2024.

On our platform, gameplay will match up with other popular platforms daily, ensuring that no player feels left out or envious of others’ progress.

If you’re planning to play The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom on its release day, you might find yourself in a bit of a predicament, as another game is set to release the day prior.

As a dedicated movie buff, I always ensure to keep an eye on the latest film releases, especially during the fall and winter seasons when the frequency of new movies hitting theaters significantly ramps up. This way, I don’t miss out on any must-watch titles that might slip through the cracks!

What do we know about FC 25 on Nintendo Switch?

FC 25 on Nintendo Switch: What do we know about this year’s version?

On the Nintendo Switch, FC 25 will offer identical features found in all other versions of the game, ensuring that players won’t miss out on any content or updates.

Previously, the Football Club (FC) 24 wasn’t associated with any legacy editions like it is now; instead, when Electronic Arts (EA) marketed their premier football simulation games under the FIFA brand, Nintendo Switch would get ‘Legacy Edition’ titles.

These were significantly simplified versions, derived from earlier ones, that mainly focused on updating player scores and similar elements.

Mercifully, those days are gone.

Since the entire game is too large to fit onto a cartridge, you’ll have to complete the installation by downloading a minimum file size of approximately 31GB.

Additionally, you might notice that the visual quality may not be as high due to reduced graphical fidelity, and the gameplay could run slower, with a frame rate of only 30 frames per second instead of 60.

Is there a trailer for FC 25 on Switch?

A trailer for the Nintendo Switch exists featuring FC 25, yet its appearance may not accurately represent how it will appear during actual gameplay.

You can view it above, and as you’ll see, it’s just the reveal trailer we’ve seen elsewhere.

It seems that some YouTube user named NoahCentral has shared videos claiming to show Football Club 25 being played on a Nintendo Switch OLED. However, it’s challenging to determine if these videos are actually demonstrating the Switch version of Football Club 24 instead.

If FC 24 is indeed representative, we can likely anticipate similar performance with FC 25. However, the Nintendo Switch hardware has its limits. It’s possible that an update might come when the next-gen Switch 2 is released, but EA could instead reserve any enhancements for future FIFA title, FIFA 26.
