Final Destination 6 Trailer Hides Unused Alex Death Scene!

Discuss the concept of fan service. In the 2000 movie, Final Destination, the character Bludworth (played by Tony Todd) states, “There are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps, and no escapes.” This sets the tone for the horror franchise that explores seemingly random accidents leading to grisly deaths of survivors who try to evade Death. The recently released teaser for the new film, Final Destination Bloodlines, features a tattoo artist (Richard Harmon) who finds out the hard way that he can’t avoid Death’s plans, even when faced with danger from a ceiling fan.

In a narrow escape, the tattoo artist finds himself dangling precariously from a chain snared in the spinning blades of a fan. As the chain becomes entangled in his nose ring, seemingly pulled there by some invisible force, he plunges through a glass enclosure. Suspended above flaming embers caused by an overturned lamp spilling onto the floor, he struggles to detach the chain. Miraculously, he frees himself mere moments before the falling fan crashes down. Though he successfully evades being pierced by the ceiling fan’s whirling blades, his fate proves inescapable: he is consumed by the flames.

In the initial “Final Destination” film, I found myself in the shoes of high school student Alex Browning (Devon Sawa). During a class trip to Paris, an unsettling premonition struck me – a catastrophic plane explosion during takeoff. My vision miraculously saved my friends Clear (Ali Larter), Tod (Chad Donella), Carter (Kerr Smith), Billy (Seann William Scott), Terry (Amanda Detmer), and our teacher, Ms. Lewton (Kristen Cloke), from the grim reaper’s grasp by prompting them to abandon the fated Flight 180. However, this respite was short-lived as Alex was now on a dangerous quest: deciphering when Death would strike again, according to Bludworth’s ominous warning, and outsmarting Death’s ingenious plan for those who were destined to perish aboard Flight 180.

At the conclusion of the initial movie, it’s just Alex and his girlfriend Clear who have made it through the escalating string of gruesome “accidents”: Tod meets his end by being strangled with a clothesline in his bathtub, Terry gets hit by a bus, Ms. Lewton is stabbed with a kitchen knife before her home explodes, Billy loses his head due to shrapnel from a passing train, and Carter is squashed under a falling sign.

2003’s “Final Destination 2” unveils that Alex perished not long after the happenings in the initial movie, meeting her end due to a falling brick in an obscure alley. Now, the lone living passenger from Flight 180, she sought refuge in a mental health institution. There, she encounters Kimberly Corman (portrayed by A.J. Cook), another foresighted individual and a survivor of the Route 23 accident.

Showing Kimberly the photograph of Alex’s facedown corpse from the crime scene, which was initially written as an accident, reveals a discrepancy in her room; there are old newspaper clippings about an unsolved Alex death that hadn’t been used in the final draft of the script.

In reference to Clear’s timeline, Alex is reported to have died from a head injury inflicted by a ceiling fan. This raises questions about whether his death was intentional (murder or suicide) or if he simply met an unfortunate accident. The Final Destination 2 script indicates that Clear presented Kimberly with a photo of Alex, who appeared to have the blade of a ceiling fan in his head. However, this particular line is not included in the final version of the movie.

The manner of death for Alex, as indicated by Clear’s timeline, was due to an accident involving a ceiling fan resulting in head trauma. This brings up questions regarding whether it was a homicide, suicide, or simply an unfortunate mishap. In the Final Destination 2 script, it is stated that Clear showed Kimberly a photograph of Alex with what appeared to be the blade of a ceiling fan in his head; however, this specific line did not make it into the final edit of the film.

Instead, when New York State Trooper Thomas Burke (Michael Landes) delves into the deaths of Flight 180 survivors, he discovers an unusual report about Alex Browning’s demise:

“Alex Browning, aged 19, was found dead in a side street between Sycamore and Edinburgh, seemingly due to a strange incident involving a falling brick,” the newspaper states. “Merchants nearby alerted police after hearing screams from Browning’s girlfriend, Clear Rivers, who was with him at the time of the incident. Although the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed by county authorities, officers on the scene suspect that a brick from the neighboring building slipped off and struck Browning in the face, causing his immediate death.

In the movie “Final Destination: Bloodlines”, college student Stefanie finds herself tormented by a terrifying recurring dream and sets out to find the one individual who might have the power to halt this cycle and protect her family from the impending, gruesome fate that seems inevitable for everyone. As stated in the synopsis, this is how the story unfolds.

The cast features Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, with Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd, who returns as Bludworth. “Final Destination: Bloodlines” will be hitting theaters on May 16th.
