In case you didn’t hear, Final Fantasy 16 is no longer a PS5 console exclusive.
During the Xbox Games Showcase, it was revealed that the high-priced action role-playing game has also been launched on Xbox Series X|S. In fact, it had previously debuted on PCs way back in September of last year.
It’s worth mentioning that Sony played a crucial role in the development of Final Fantasy 16, leveraging their internal teams to enhance the game technically. As stated by Producer Naoki Yoshida, the game wouldn’t be what it is today without the technological capabilities provided by the PS5.
Currently, Square Enix is pursuing a dream of having their major titles available across multiple platforms, aiming to bring them to as many systems as possible. Consequently, the remake of Final Fantasy 7 will also become accessible on Xbox later this year, and it’s likely that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth won’t trail far behind.
Hey there! It’s not every day we get a peek at some exclusive content, right? And today’s the day! Kazuya Takahashi, our talented character designer, unveiled a stunning new piece of artwork featuring none other than our protagonist, Clive Rosfield, and his supporting cast. I can’t stop admiring it on social media – it’s just breathtaking!
Is it your belief that upcoming Final Fantasy titles will primarily release on platforms other than PlayStation, or will they still have timed exclusive deals? Check out the stunning art in the comments below.
