As a devoted fan of the Final Fantasy series, especially the iconic Final Fantasy 7, I can hardly contain my excitement! The rapid progress being made on the trilogy’s development is nothing short of astounding. It feels like we’ve been on this journey for ages, and yet, the creative director, Naoki Hamaguchi, is still jet-setting around the globe to share his passion for our beloved game.
The progress on the “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” trilogy has been advancing more swiftly than many expected, and it appears that its concluding part is also maintaining a quick tempo in development, based on what Square Enix’s Naoki Hamaguchi suggests.
Recently, Hamaguchi – the creative director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – shared insights from his global travels discussing and promoting the renowned action RPG on Twitter. He emphasized that his team is diligently working on the sequel, expressing hope for an early release.
He mentioned that they are putting in a lot of effort towards development, aiming to release part 3 at the earliest convenience.
Work on the potential third part of “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” (still undecided about its final title) started as early as 2022, and production has picked up pace this year. Producer Yoshinori Kitase has hinted at a proposed release date in 2027; however, it’s important to note that plans may change.
