As a long-time enthusiast of the Final Fantasy series, the anticipation for the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been palpable. I’ve been through the original game multiple times, and it holds a special place in my heart. The prospect of experiencing this iconic title again, but with the graphical prowess of the PS5 Pro, is nothing short of exhilarating.
Anticipation is growing for the debated PlayStation 5 Pro, due out soon. Sony has released a roster of over 50 games optimized for the console, and updates have been launched for popular titles like “Dragon’s Dogma 2” and “Lords of the Fallen”. To add to this list is Square Enix’s “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth”, with update version 1.050 now active.
In addition to bug fixes, performance enhancements, and various other improvements, this update introduces a new feature called “Versatility Mode” for PS5 Pro gamers. As suggested in the brief teaser video we saw last week (translated with DeepL), this mode will merge the 60 FPS from Performance Mode with the higher resolution of Graphic Mode using PlayStation’s Spectral Super Resolution technology.
Based on initial reviews by Digital Foundry, it appears that the PlayStation 5 Pro offers substantial improvements in graphic quality and smoothness, making it an ideal platform for players to enjoy the game at its best. The console will be available globally starting from November 7th, priced at $699.99. For more details about the console, click here.
