In celebration of this momentous event, Square Enix has been granting interviews to various publishing platforms such as Famitsu and 4Gamer, shedding light on the current status of the third installment and concluding chapter in their critically-acclaimed Final Fantasy 7 Remake series.
Initially, Square Enix has affirmed to Famitsu (through Eurogamer‘s report and translation) that they have wrapped up scripting the plot for the third installment, and development on the game is proceeding smoothly with no delays. However, a launch date for the third game remains undisclosed at this time.
Subsequently, Square Enix expressed their intention to explore additional elements, such as New Game Plus, for the upcoming third installment.
In an interview with 4gamer (translated by @Genki_JPN), Square Enix hinted that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 might not be a PlayStation-exclusive game at its initial release, as the company is now focusing on distributing games across various platforms.
