Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Will Feature a “Revamped” and “Better” Version of Queen’s Blood

As a dedicated fan who has been following the epic saga of Final Fantasy 7 since its original release, I can hardly contain my excitement upon hearing that Queen’s Blood, one of the most captivating minigames in the series, is set to return in an even more refined form for the sequel. This news was akin to discovering a long-lost treasure map, leading me back to the world I’ve grown so fond of over the years.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but get excited about the upcoming sequel to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, which hasn’t been officially announced yet. However, during a recent panel at Otakon convention in Washington D.C., the director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Naoki Hamaguchi, shared some intriguing news – Queen’s Blood, the popular CCG minigame that was well-received in the original, is set to make a comeback in the sequel!

Currently, Hamaguchi is working on an enhanced, superior adaptation of Queen’s Blood, which will be featured in our upcoming project. (He shared this information via his Twitter account @Genki_JPN.)

In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, a new activity called Queen’s Blood was introduced, serving as a game-wide side quest. Players can gather various cards with distinct effects, rarities, and more throughout the game to create and enhance their decks. Additionally, an extended, optional questline related to Queen’s Blood is also present. Director Hamaguchi hinted that the sequel of Rebirth will include a “refined” and “improved” version of this minigame, though specific details are yet to be revealed. Fans are eagerly anticipating its development, as it has already garnered significant popularity in its current form.

Since 2022, work on the last part of the “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” trilogy has been in progress to some extent. Earlier this year, producer Yoshinori Kitase hinted that the development team aims for a release by 2027.

As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that I’m currently working on an enhanced, superior edition of Queen’s Blood, set for the upcoming installment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy! #FF7R
