However, in the Remake trilogy, both the game creators and fate seem to have a different perspective. The narrative in Rebirth doesn’t strictly follow the original storyline, and in this new world, the developers delve deeper into the timeless love triangle that has captivated gaming enthusiasts for years.
In an extensive conversation with Inverse (thanks to GamesRadar+), producer Yoshinori Kitase expressed that Cloud’s thoughts have been pondered by two distinct ladies, quite the fortunate man he is. However, director Naoki Hamaguchi provided a more precise perspective, implying that Aerith has always played a nurturing role towards Cloud, guiding and supporting him.
