Despite being labeled as commercial underperformers for “Final Fantasy 16” and “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth”, the “Final Fantasy” series continues to thrive in various aspects. Notably, “Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster” has reached another significant sales benchmark.
On Twitter, Square Enix shared that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster has surpassed 5 million units sold globally across all platforms. This is an increase from the 3 million units sold by September last year. It’s worth noting that the remaster collection debuted on Xbox Series X/S towards the end of September, suggesting it’s been popular on Microsoft’s platform with approximately 2 million more sales since then. However, it’s also likely that it has continued to sell on other platforms as well during this period.
Simultaneously, Square Enix disclosed that the global sales for the Final Fantasy series have surpassed 200 million units.
The “Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster” can be found on the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, personal computers (PC), as well as iOS and Android devices.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection has achieved global sales of more than 5 million units, while the entire Final Fantasy franchise has surpassed 200 million in sales worldwide!
