Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster’s Expensive Collector’s Box Doesn’t Include the Game

This week is an exciting time for Final Fantasy enthusiasts, as the much-anticipated remake of the PlayStation 1 classic, Final Fantasy Tactics, has officially been unveiled.

Titled “Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles,” this upcoming game boasts an impressive look based on its debut trailer, and here’s a bonus – you can already place your pre-orders for it!

It seems that the various interpretations have caused a bit of misunderstanding, most notably concerning the Collector’s Box.

The Collector’s Box, priced at £200, can be purchased only through Square Enix’s official website. However, it’s essential to note that this box does not come with the game itself; instead, it contains a variety of cool physical items.

To also get a copy of The Ivalice Chronicles, you’ll need to place it in your order individually, which will increase your total by £49.99.

If you’re curious, the Collector’s Box contains:

  • Several art cards
  • A set of miniature chocobo plushies
  • A set of zodiac stone magnets
  • “Outlying Church” pop-up art
  • A statue of protagonist Ramza Beoulve

As a passionate gamer, I find this collection quite impressive for dedicated fans, yet leaving out the actual game feels a bit peculiar.

By the way, should you decide to get this item, remember that the game itself must be purchased separately. You can find it on Square Enix’s online store, or alternatively, obtain the digital version through the PlayStation Store.

Instead of going for the Collector’s Box, would you prefer just the game itself? Let us know your preference in the comments below.
