According to their announcement, Square Enix plans to unveil the game “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade” on the Nintendo Switch 2; however, they have yet to disclose a specific launch date.

The updated version of “Final Fantasy VII Remake” is known as “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade”. This upgraded edition debuted on PlayStation 5 on June 10, 2021, then became available on the Epic Games Store for PC on December 16, 2021, and finally on Steam on June 17, 2022. “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth”, its successor, is already accessible on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Here is an overview of the game, via Square Enix:

In the video game titled “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade”, players join Cloud Strife, a former SOLDIER operative turned mercenary, who assists the resistance group Avalanche in the mako-powered metropolis of Midgar as they battle against the enigmatic Shinra Electric Power Company. The struggle against this mysterious corporation propels Cloud and his allies into a broader conflict that will decide the destiny of the world. Additionally, “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade” offers an additional captivating storyline called “Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode INTERmission“, which places the spotlight on Yuffie Kisaragi, a Wutai ninja, as she sneaks into Midgar during the main game’s events.

This upcoming launch will be the first time the game series appears on a Nintendo platform, offering a fresh group of gamers an opportunity to explore the 2020’s The Game Awards RPG of the Year*, a title that has already sold more than seven million copies across PlayStation and PC platforms.
