One key method for advancing in Atomfall involves employing Atomic Batteries to enhance The Interchange.
As a gaming enthusiast, these energy-driven tubes are scattered all around the game world in diverse spots, and they’re essential for advancing my gameplay experience.
Here’s a quick list of locations where you can find them in abundance and quickly.
Atomfall Battery locations: Where to find Atomic Batteries explained

Atomic Batteries can be found from a number of sources – some easier and some much harder.
For your convenience, we’ve divided this manual into different parts, enabling you to quickly identify those sections you still need to acquire.
The Interchange
Upon your initial visit to The Interchange’s central processing unit, you’ll discover an Atomic Battery resting near the remains of a researcher.
I regret to inform you that this appears to be the sole model available within these confines, making it an immediate necessity for activating this section of our operation.
There are three Atomic Batteries that can be bought from the following traders:
- Molly Jowell – Slatten Dale Trader Camp (26.4 E, 79.0 N)
- Billy Gorse – Casterfell Woods (21.4 E, 90.0 N)
- Nora Thorndike – Nora’s Barn, Skethermoor (41.9 E, 77.4 N)
Killing and salvaging robots
The robots you see walking around everywhere are actually powered by these Atomic Batteries.
Once sufficiently harmed, it momentarily shuts off its power, allowing you to remove the battery from the rear to permanently deactivate it entirely.
Furthermore, you’ll come across a pair of damaged robots that you can extract batteries from. You can find these at the specified locations:
- Village Green, Wyndham (33.9 E, 80.3 N)
- Pond near Nora’s Barn, Skethermoor (41.3 E, 78.0 N)
Exploring and completing leads
Apart from the batteries mentioned earlier, many batteries are discovered through exploration and pursuing specific leads.
- Vicar McHenry’s chest in St Katherines Church, Wyndham (33.0 E, 78.8 N)
- Castle Ruins, Casterfell Woods (19.6 E, 83.7 N)
- Casterfell Dam power generator, Casterfell Woods (20.9 E, 90.9 N)
- Vehicle Storage Bunker, Skethermoor (43.4 E, 74.6 N)
How many Atomic Batteries do you need in Atomfall?
Regardless of the number of batteries available altogether, you just require five Atomic Batteries to finish the game.
Upon entering The Interchange, these actions will initiate: Activating the main processor, along with Data Storage areas A, B, C, and D.
After turning everything on, you’ll reach the final stage, allowing you to focus your attention on Oberon instead.
