This year’s edition of Dancing on Ice has commenced, featuring stars like Mollie Pearce from The Traitors, popular EastEnders actor Charlie Brooks, and legendary Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave who are all vying for victory on the beloved ITV1 program.

Last Sunday (12th January) and last night (19th January), the complete cast stepped onto the ice together with their professional counterparts for the initial performance, and they repeated this act again yesterday. Their aim was to captivate the judges with their debut routines. However, one performer has been forced to withdraw prematurely due to not managing to impress the judges or viewers at home with their first attempt.

As a passionate film buff, I found an unexpected plot twist: instead of the traditional skate-off, the pair with the least audience support was instantly eliminated without a second chance.

Once the voting ended, Chelsee Healey and Josh Jones discovered they were among the bottom two contestants. The final decision on who would be eliminated rested with the scores from the leaderboard.
