In a little over a week, we’ll be back with another season of First Dates! And here’s some exciting news for its dedicated followers – a fresh spin-off series is on the way from the makers of this popular Channel 4 reality show.
The eight-part series titled First Dates Beach Club promises to bring a new perspective to the classic dating show, as it is being filmed at an undisclosed luxurious Mediterranean beach destination this coming summer.
As stated in the announcement, the upcoming series aims to unite singles seeking love in a scenic coastal environment. The stunning landscapes and laid-back vacation atmosphere are expected to create an ideal setting for unearthing fresh romantic connections.
The well-known pair, Fred Sirieix and Merlin Griffiths, are set to reunite in their roles as Maître’d and bartender for another series. Channel 4 has dubbed this season “the pinnacle of summer romance,” with the program promising to offer the touching and entertaining moments that have made First Dates a favorite UK dating show, all while infusing a vibrant holiday ambiance and introducing some exciting new format tweaks.
Regarding the show, Rita Daniels, Channel 4’s Commissioning Editor, stated that the combination of sun, sea, and a fresh idea will make it incredibly appealing and exciting.
