First Glance: “F1” Main Trailer

For the upcoming movie “F1”, we’ve already caught glimpses in teasers and a first trailer. Yesterday, Warner Bros. released what they termed as the “Main Trailer“. As with earlier previews, it looks fantastic. Apple Studios have reportedly invested heavily in this action-packed sports drama set within Formula One racing. Some experts speculate an investment of up to $300 million, a substantial amount for recovery. I’m optimistic that it will be worth it, as it would be refreshing to witness a hit film not tied to established franchises.

Brad Pitt takes the leading role as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One racer who was once involved in a severe accident. After being persuaded by an old friend and F1 team owner (portrayed by Javier Bardem), he agrees to return to racing, this time mentoring an upcoming talent (Damson Idris). Kerry Condon adds depth to the cast. The movie is helmed by director Joseph Kosinski, fresh from the massive success of “Top Gun: Maverick”. Although “F1” might not typically garner such high numbers, viewers are encouraged to give it a chance, especially after watching the exciting new trailer.
