FNAF Into The Pit: Find a Way to Cause a Distraction Guide

As a seasoned Fazbear fanatic with countless nights spent dodging animatronics and solving puzzles, this Night 2 distraction mission in FNAF: Into The Pit was a delightful challenge!

On Night 2 of FNAF Into the Pit, I’ve got to figure out a clever diversion because I gotta grab some pizza and ol’ Jeff just isn’t playing ball with me.

Achieving this goal won’t be simple, as you’ll have to collect objects spanning both current and previous times. It seems that the haunted ball pit could be the origin of all the hardships in this game, yet it offers opportunities for inventive solutions at times!

In this tutorial, we’ll show you the steps for achieving the “Create a Diversion” goal on the second night.

During Night 2, a task titled “Create a Diversion” will appear on your screen. This task arises after you ask Jeff for a pizza slice to aid you against the pizzaria’s mechanical creatures, but he denies your request. In this situation, you need to find an alternative way to keep him occupied.

At The Mill, take a look to the far left side of the area. You should see a Rat Trap there; go ahead and grab it. If you don’t find it, you might have picked it up already if you had thoroughly explored The Mill earlier. It was also available during Night 1, so remember to check your inventory.

Now, go back to Jeff’s Pizza and use the ball pit to enter Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.

Your next destination is the Party Hallway located inside Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, which is clearly marked on your map. However, do keep in mind that there are moving robots wandering around the pizzeria, so be cautious as you make your way to the central room. Also, watch out for Spring Bonnie during your journey.

As a keen player, I’d guide you to locate the interactive spot on the far right of the Party Hallway. Once found, set the Rat Trap there. Remember, rats aren’t foolish enough to appear when we’re still inside, so here’s the trick: exit the Party Hallway, then re-enter it again.

Upon your arrival back in the room, you’ll find that the Rat Trap has been effectively set off, trapping the wandering rat. With this task accomplished, all that remains for creating a diversion is to utilize the ball pit once more. This will guide you back to Jeff’s Pizza. So, head towards the ball pit again to make your way to Jeff’s Pizza.

Setting the Rat Loose

After getting your pet rat, head over to the secluded corner of the Dining Area in Jeff’s Pizza. There, you’ll find a woman engrossed in a call on her phone at one of the tables. Approach her and utilize the ‘Trapped Rat’ item to free your own rat.

Hurry to the kitchen now, as the woman gets quite upset and Jeff goes after the distressed rodent. (This way, you can avoid the situation!)

Finally, engage with the pizza box located on the back wall to acquire a piece of pizza. With this action, you have successfully completed the task of causing a distraction for the animatronics in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, fulfilling the objective “Create a Distraction” in FNAF Into the Pit!
