Former AEW Star Makes Long-Awaited and Emotional WWE Debut

Tonight marked the long-awaited WWE debut of Rey Fenix, formerly of AEW, and he did not disappoint. Taking on NXT’s Nathan Frazer, who was making his SmackDown appearance, they put on a captivating match that highlighted their exceptional ring skills. After multiple close calls, it was Fenix who emerged victorious in this exciting encounter. In a heartfelt promo following the bout, Fenix acknowledged the significance of this moment as he begins a new chapter in his WWE career.

In their match, Fenix and Frazer traded moves, but it was Fenix who emerged victorious, coming close to striking Frazer with a powerful kick. Frazer dodged Fenix’s attacks by circling the ring, but Fenix was relentless. He landed a sweeping roundhouse kick and nearly pinned Frazer with a clever pop-up slam followed by an attempt to pin him.

In the attempt, Frazer leaped to go under the ropes, yet failed to clear them completely, getting entangled in the middle one slightly. However, he did manage to collide with Fenix, who then retaliated by climbing up high and crashing down onto Frazer on the outside with a powerful slam.

After taking a short break, Frazer will quickly regain momentum, attempting a take-down and then forcefully pushing Fenix against the commentary desk. Fenix manages to return Frazer to the ring, but Frazer subdues his opponent with powerful knee strikes to the back and forces him into a pin. However, Fenix displays incredible resilience by managing to kick out.

In the heat of our encounter, I managed a few maneuvers near the corner, only to find myself squaring off against Fenix high above. With a daring move, I executed a superplex followed by a neckbreaker, but it wasn’t enough to keep him grounded. Determined to finish the job, I leaped skyward again, aiming for a phoenix splash, but missed my mark. Instead, I caught Fenix off guard with a powerful knee strike to the jaw. He retaliated swiftly, countering my next move and landing an accurate dropkick. Balancing on the ropes, he delivered a fierce kick to my face, coming agonizingly close to pinning me down.

During the match, Frazer kicked Fenix in the head, but this action led to him getting kicked back in the face and then another high kick on the head. Eventually, Fenix managed to lift Frazer and execute the Mexican Muscle Buster, which was enough for the pin and victory. Overwhelmed by the debut, Fenix delivered an intense post-match speech.

Fenix addressed the audience and concluded his speech with words he had been eager to express for a while. He declared, “For my entire life, I’ve been waiting to say this. I… am… WWE, spirit!
