Former Brad Pitt Body Double Found Guilty of Rape, Sentenced to Prison

As a fan who has always admired Luke Ford for his work as Brad Pitt‘s body double, hearing about this shocking turn of events leaves me utterly disheartened and appalled. The 21-year extended sentence is a small comfort compared to the trauma he inflicted on those women over a 12-year span. It’s heartbreaking to think that while I was enjoying his performances, there were victims suffering in silence.

Luke Ford is heading to prison.

A 35-year-old man, born in Scotland, who once stood in for Brad Pitt during the filming of “World War Z” in 2013, has been convicted of 19 offenses that include violence, sexual assault, threats, and abuse against women, as stated in a press release from the Crown Office on December 18.

As per the statement, Ford received an extended sentence lasting 21 years, with 16 years to be spent in prison. Furthermore, his name is now permanently listed on the national sex offender registry.

TopMob News has attempted to locate council for Ford for comment.

Besides being prohibited from communicating with or approaching the nine women allegedly victimized by Ford between 2008 and 2020, it is also reported that these women were subjected to various forms of abuse for a period of twelve years. During this time, Ford was convicted of raping six of these women, as well as subjecting them to physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. This abuse included acts such as strangulation, smashing a woman’s head against a car window, and slapping another across the face, according to BBC reports.

In addition, the news outlet claims that Ford had warned these women he would distribute photographs he’d secretly snapped of them to their workplaces or relatives if they failed to comply with his demands.

One of the rapes involved what is called “stealthing,” which is defined as not using a condom—or removing one during intercourse—without the consent or knowledge of the partner. His guilty verdict marks the first time an abuser has been convicted for stealthing in Scotland.

As per the account given by an anonymous individual who experienced stealthing, as detailed in The Times, they matched with Ford on Tinder in 2017. They had previously agreed to use a condom before engaging in sexual activity, with Ford suggesting it as a “wise decision.

After she provided him with a condom prior to their intimate encounter, he later admitted that he hadn’t used it. “I was taken aback and angry,” she testified in court, as reported by The Times. “I wouldn’t have engaged in sex without a condom. I asked him to depart. I felt completely violated.

As reported by the source, when she brought up her issues with him the following day, he downplayed her worries and advised her to simply take a pregnancy-related medication, and if she turned out to be pregnant, to terminate it.

A second, anonymous victim spoke out about Ford’s acting work.

She shared with STV News that Ford truly believed he would become similar to Brad Pitt, “In his mind, he was convinced he’d be Brad Pitt’s main stunt double” during his work on World War Z. However, she noted there were several stunt doubles for him, but he skillfully portrayed the impression that he was Pitt’s exclusive double.

She remarked, “In my opinion, he’s repeatedly committed harmful acts and skillfully deceived others. There are likely many other victims too. It has taken me a considerable amount of time to recover from the past, but I can honestly say that life is better for me now.

After Ford’s verdict, Katrina Parkes, the Procurator Fiscal for High Court Sexual Offenses in Scotland, voiced her thoughts on the importance of this particular case.

In the press statement, it was emphasized that Luke Ford repeatedly violated boundaries and disregarded the consent of his partner. He was willing to employ deceit, pressure, or intimidation to perpetrate his abusive actions. His behavior clearly demonstrated a lack of understanding for the significance of mutual agreement between individuals in a relationship.

Expressing the significance of successfully prosecuting him for the stealthing offense, Parkes stated, “I hope that those who have suffered in this distressing case find some comfort knowing that Ford is being brought to justice for his actions. I salute their bravery and resilience. I also encourage any other victims who have experienced similar crimes to take heart from this conviction.
