Former Divas Champion Open To Returning to WWE Part-Time

As a devoted fan who has witnessed Kelly Kelly’s electrifying career unfold from its inception, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia whenever her name comes up. Despite her tenure being relatively brief, she managed to carve out an indelible mark on the WWE landscape. Her youthful exuberance and raw athleticism were captivating, making her a fan-favorite even in an era that didn’t fully appreciate women wrestlers as much as it does now.

Kelly Kelly’s WWE journey was somewhat brief, but during her tenure with the company, she managed to achieve an impressive amount. Starting at 18 years old in an era less supportive of women than it is today, she went on to become a Divas Champion before retiring from wrestling permanently in 2012. Her athletic abilities quickly endeared her to fans, and she remains a beloved female wrestler among fans even now. Although she’s made sporadic appearances in various Royal Rumble matches over the years, she has yet to make a full-time comeback to the ring.

Will Kelly Kelly Return to WWE?

In response to a question about returning to WWE since Triple H is now in charge, she expressed her admiration for “The Game” and stated that she would be thrilled to collaborate with him again. She mentioned that while she didn’t have extensive experience working under Triple H during her initial stint, she felt they worked together when he returned, describing it as a wrestling match. She added that she has already made appearances for special events like the Rumbles, and it’s exciting to see Triple H take over. Moreover, she expressed her fondness for Triple H, praising him as an excellent colleague during their previous collaboration, and reiterated her desire to return to WWE to work with him again.

In recent times, she graced a WWE ring during the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble event, putting up an impressive performance that left fans anticipating her potential return. She joins other Divas era veterans like Trish Stratus and Lita, who have made part-time comebacks to wrestling over the past year, testing their skills in ways they hadn’t during their initial careers.

For Stratus, she locked horns with Becky Lynch within a robust steel cage, resulting in severe injuries for her, yet it’s an episode both combatants reminisce upon warmly. Simultaneously, Lita made her comeback and clinched the Women’s Tag Team Championships, a title that didn’t even surface when she embarked on her WWE journey. The abundance of potential blockbuster matches certainly makes Kelly, who has been out of action for years, an exciting prospect.

If she returns, she understands that it won’t be a full-time position – her family responsibilities demand attention now. She and her husband, Joe Coba, welcomed twins last autumn. “I seriously doubt I could manage full-time work, particularly with the twins, and considering we might have another baby soon, I’m not sure,” she explained. “Still, I would definitely consider a part-time role. My ambition is for my twins to witness me in the ring someday. Just wait until they’re old enough to understand it; I can hardly contain my excitement! Watching them during SummerSlam was amazing – I thought, ‘wow, this is so cool!'”
