Fortnite update (23rd July): What changes in today’s patch notes?

As a long-time Fortnite player and avid collector of cool cosmetics, I’m thrilled to pieces about today’s update! I’ve been following the latest news and rumors, and let me tell you, this one is a doozy.

The Fortnite update v30.30 on July 23rd isn’t quite a new season, but it sure brings fresh content. Here’s a rundown of the modifications according to the patch notes.

As someone who has been following the Rocket Racing community for years, I must admit that this recent update has left me utterly amazed. The sheer volume of new content unveiled is truly impressive and a welcome surprise. Not only do we get to explore fresh territories in Rocket Racing, but there’s also a rank reset.

A well-known German sports brand is now partnering with Fortnite for collaborations. Coming soon are skins based on some anti-hero characters set to appear together in an upcoming movie.

Recently confirmed after being obtained by Epic Games in 2021, Fall Guys are now making a significant impact in Fortnite as well. This new addition promises to bring plenty of enjoyment, so be sure to pay close attention.

There’s plenty to explore and discuss, so let’s avoid wasting time and dive right in!

What changes in the Fortnite update today (23rd July)?

In addition to unveiling the long-awaited Cybertruck, we’re excited to introduce an entirely new island brimming with racing tracks called Inferno Island for our Rocket Racing experience.

Check out the tracks below courtesy of the official blog post:

  • Obsidian – The arteries of this fiery paradise serve as cylindrical passageways. (Difficulty: Novice. Track unlocked in Ranked Racing at Bronze I.)
  • Seafoam Cove – Need a break from the heat? Feel the brisk ocean breeze as you cruise along serene scenery. (Difficulty: Novice. Track unlocked in Ranked Racing at Bronze I.)
  • Skull Rock Isle – Venture up and through twisting turns! Drift ‘round a fiery inferno on the inside, and a cool beachy paradise on the outside. (Difficulty: Novice. Track unlocked in Ranked Racing at Silver I.)
  • Twin Flame Island – Choose between split paths on this island close to Inferno Island. (Difficulty: Advanced. Track unlocked in Ranked Racing at Gold I.)
  • Azure Grotto – Drive, drift and fly through some of Inferno Island’s most popular tourist attractions. (Difficulty: Advanced. Track unlocked in Ranked Racing at Gold I.)
  • Lavish Lagoon – Perfect for a getaway, so long as you don’t relax too much. (Difficulty: Novice. Track unlocked in Ranked Racing at Silver I.)
  • Basalt Burrow – You’ll need quick reflexes in the treacherous twists en route to the finish line! (Difficulty: Expert. Track unlocked in Ranked Racing at Platinum I.)

A fresh Casual Racing playlist is now available for you to test out new tracks without the pressure of Ranked Play, where the leaderboard has recently been restarted.

Don’t worry if you end up in a lower rank this time, such as bronze, as Epic Games explains that your new ranking is determined by your final position in the previous ranked season. Consequently, you may begin in gold, silver, or another higher rank instead of bronze if you achieved a high ranking in the last ranked season.

As a devoted cinema enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that starting July 26, 2024, at 1am, you’ll be able to acquire two fresh additions to your collection in the Item Shop: the Racer and Car body named Cinder and Lockjaw. So, mark your calendars and get ready to bring these exciting newcomers into your virtual garage!

This will net you the following:

  • Lockjaw Car Body
  • Four Lockjaw Decals (Flames, Lightning, Stripes, Wings)

    • Race Ready Style for the Cinder Outfit

You can have these in Rocket League owing to cross-game ownership.

Fall Guys crossover

In an exciting update, HYPEX from X has announced a fresh collaboration for Fall Guys. Now, instead of regular characters, players will morph into adorable beans and race through obstacle courses.

Fall Guys are set to experience a Fortnite-style Battle Royale Event, much like the CH2S7 Mothership. In this event, the backdrop will display the Battle Royale island, and you’ll notice the Battle Bus icon at the top left. During the game, you’ll encounter an interaction that transforms you into a bean character, allowing you to join other players in completing an obstacle course for desirable loot. This information was shared by @blortzen.

Players will also be able to create new Fall Guys maps in UEFN (also known as Fortnite Creative).

Deadpool & Wolverine Skins

As a movie buff and avid gamer, I’m thrilled to share that Epic Games has brought more excitement to Fortnite than just two crossovers. In the first person, it feels like they’ve invited Deadpool and Wolverine into my gaming world, along with an array of captivating cosmetic items!

HYPEX once again has the goods on X.

Where are the full Fortnite patch notes for today?

As a long-time gaming enthusiast with countless hours spent exploring new updates and patches, I can empathize with the anticipation and excitement that comes with the release of patch notes. However, sometimes the eagerness is met with disappointment when no patch notes page goes up right away. But fear not! With my extensive experience in this matter, I’ve developed a workaround: I’ve scoured each update page meticulously to gather every last detail of the changes, and have conveniently compiled them below for your perusal. So go ahead, indulge yourself in the new features and improvements – you’ll find them all right here!

  • ‘Failed to meet requirements’ error when equipping Jam Tracks as Lobby Music
  • Players will receive a ‘failed to meet requirements’ error when trying to equip their Jam Tracks as Lobby Music in the Locker

  • The water at the bottom of the Jack’s Prize back bling appears distorted and falls through the bottom of the bottle
  • The setting ‘Lock Input Method as Mouse’ is not working correctly
  • The Lock Mouse Input setting may not function as intended

LEGO FORTNITE

  • Players are unable to sit on seating furniture that is touching a wall
  • Players are unable to sit in any seating that is placed directly against a wall or post

ROCKET RACING

  • Vehicle spawns under the track when loading certain tracks

  • “Polygonal” boost icon missing in Locker
  • When selecting/equipping the Polygonal boost, players may see an ‘X’ symbol instead of the intended icon

FORTNITE FESTIVAL

  • HOPO Note Following Chorded Note Not Consistently Hit

Based on my own experiences and having gone through numerous software updates throughout the years, I must admit that this one has been quite substantial, even though it’s not a new season for the application.
